What you’ll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our residents’ wellbeing. As a Part‑Time Support Worker you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day‑to‑day activities, encouraging and promoting independent living, and help people reach their potential through practical and emotional support.
* Supporting personal care tasks such as washing, dressing and preparation of food
* Performing light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed clothes
* Assisting and supporting attendance of medical appointments
* Observing, monitoring and recording physical and emotional well‑being, reporting any changes to senior staff quickly
* Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists – CMHT
* Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
What you’ll bring to the role
Resilience, empathy, and the ability to support others through both highs and lows. You will be able to work on your own and as part of a team, understand and follow policies and procedures, anticipate and respond to challenges, and communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
