Role Overview
The Groundworks Estimator will play a key role in ensuring accurate pricing on a wide variety of projects. You will prepare tenders, assess costs, and liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to produce competitive and commercially viable bids.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing accurate cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projects.
* Analysing tender documentation and producing detailed take-offs.
* Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
* Assessing risks and opportunities within each tender.
* Producing clear and comprehensive tender submissions.
* Working closely with senior management to support business development and growth.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as an Estimator within groundworks/civil engineering.
* Strong knowledge of groundwork operations, including earthworks, drainage, foundations, and external works.
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office packages.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
* Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
