About the Role
We are looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in WS6. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity working within a nursery setting, supporting young children at a crucial stage of their early development.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about Early Years education, who can create a warm, engaging, and safe environment where children can learn through play and exploration.
Key Responsibilities
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support children within the nursery setting through play-based learning
Assist with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
Help create a stimulating and safe learning environment
Support childrens social, emotional, and developmental needs
Work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
Previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting
A warm, patient, and caring approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with young children
A good understanding of the EYFS framework

Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply
Be able to provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two years
