Pay, benefits and more:
You’ll be paid a salary of up to £34,000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Lead the transport team during your shift, ensuring all KPIs for safety, service and cost are achieved
* Organise driver and vehicle rotas to meet planned targets and deadlines
* Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including the Road Traffic Act, tachograph policy and operator’s licence
* Drive a proactive approach to Health & Safety, ensuring standards are met and exceeded
* Manage investigations, disciplinary and grievance hearings as required
* Support recruitment, training and development of the operations team
* Maintain vehicle hygiene and daily checks via Microlise and CRM systems
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Demonstrable experience within a similar role, experience supervising a team and an operational understanding of a fast-paced transport environment
* Strong leadership skills with excellent communication skills, to champion a can-do attitude
* Strong understanding of transport compliance and driver targets
* Experience of managing conflicting priorities, along with planning and organising skills
* You will be comfortable taking responsibility demonstrating commitment and leading by example
