The Post
Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for digital content? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to help bring our communications to life and connect with diverse audiences across Brent.
In this role, you’ll create compelling, tailored multimedia content to connect our residents to the right services, help drive behaviour change, and boost trust in a dynamic and ambitious council.
Every day will be different as you engage widely with residents, councillors, and stakeholders to help develop content calendars, gain insight and stay ahead of digital trends to deliver engaging, high-impact work.
From our work to support vulnerable children and adults, to our investment in the parks and green spaces that make our residents proud to call Brent home, you’ll be working across all areas of the council, helping to tell the story of the difference our services make to improve the lives of our residents.
The successful candidate will be:
* Seizing opportunities to tell the council’s stories across numerous channels.
* Ensuring our content is engaging, creative, and tailored to the right audience – delivering messages that resonate, inspire action, and reflect Brent’s tone of voice.
* Helping the wider team to plan and deliver creative campaigns across multiple platforms.
* Capturing real-life stories through photography, filming, and interviews.
* Analysing performance and optimising the council’s content for better engagement.
* Contributing to our print materials and publications, including the Your Brent magazine, flyers, and leaflets.
* Championing communications best practice, ensuring that the council informs, educates and influences audiences in ways that are effective and represent best value for money.
