Site Engineer - Water Infrastructure

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery of a water infrastructure project in West Sussex. Working for a specialist subcontractor, you will play a key role in setting out, quality control, and day-to-day site engineering activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting out for water infrastructure works including pipelines, chambers, drainage, and associated civils
* Providing engineering support to site management and subcontractor teams
* Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards
* Managing as-built records and assisting with RAMS and ITPs
* Carrying out site surveys, checks, and measurements
* Liaising with the main contractor, client representatives, and design teams
* Monitoring quality and resolving technical issues on site
* Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained at all times
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on water, utilities, or civil engineering projects
* Strong setting-out experience using GPS/Total Station equipment
* Good understanding of water infrastructure works (clean or wastewater preferred)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* CSCS card (minimum requirement)
* SMSTS or SSSTS desirable
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence
