Reporting to a Chief Commercial Officer (Global) in the US, this strategic leadership role will design, develop, and implement the strategy for the profitable growth across the worldwide distribution channel.
Success will be determined through the development, deployment and execution of the distribution framework, guidelines and tools. The goal is to enable a consistent and successful approach to manage distributors globally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design the global distribution management strategy and vision.
2. Build a successful team – spread across Asia, North America and Europe.
3. Lead the development of frameworks – translating global/regional strategies into actionable targets for distributors.
4. ROI management – drive resource allocation to ensure priority markets are well supported.
5. Collaborate – with regional P&L leaders, to create great synergies across sales and support functions towards maximizing customer experience and performance.
6. Partnering global COEs – use internal resources to drive a flawless and progressive distributor management framework.
The Successful Applicant
7. Master’s degree in Business or a related field
8. Proven track record of success in a senior distributor management role.
9. Minimum five years in selling products to automotive OEMs.
10. Ideally, experience in a global role or multiple regions via internal job moves etc.
11. Understanding of lubricants or similar product groups is preferred but not a must.
12. In-depth knowledge of OEM market dynamics, trends, and challenges.
13. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
14. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
16. Leadership experience, with a focus on team development and performance.
17. Extensive travel across APAC, EMEA or US, with a minimum expectation of 50%.
