The Role:
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers, ensuring excellent service while maintaining compliance with all transport regulations and company procedures.
The role may involve multi-drop deliveries, palletised goods, building materials, food distribution, or other transport operations depending on client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
* Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
* Deliver goods accurately and efficiently to customers.
* Complete all delivery paperwork and electronic records correctly.
* Load and unload goods where required.
* Follow planned routes and delivery schedules.
* Comply with Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
* Provide excellent customer service at all delivery locations.
* Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
Requirements/Essential
* Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
* Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* Good understanding of road safety and transport legislation.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and professional approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Minimum 2 years Class 2 experience
Desirable
* Experience in multi-drop deliveries.
* Knowledge of local and regional road networks.
* Forklift or HIAB qualification (advantageous but not essential).
