Head of Legal

Sellick Partnership is pleased to be supporting a major retailer in their search for a Head of Legal to join them on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to join the company at a pivotal time as they continue to expand within the UK and internationally.
The successful solicitor will work closely with the CEO, CFO, and Business Directors on a range of legal matters across the wider group.
You will work on a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to:
Overseeing the review, drafting and negotiation of a broad range of commercial contracts, including supplier, licensing, and distribution agreements, as well as consumer-facing terms and conditions.
Ensuring all commercial contracts comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and internal company policies.
Managing dispute resolution and litigation matters, including representing the Company in court where required, to achieve commercially sound and cost-effective outcomes.
Drafting, reviewing and maintaining internal policies, customer-facing terms and conditions, and precedent documentation as needed.
Protecting, managing and enforcing the Group's intellectual property rights.
Researching and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements affecting the Group, including data protection, intellectual property, advertising, employment, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
Providing legal advice across the Group on commercial matters, advertising and marketing, intellectual property, privacy and data protection, B2C issues, and ad-hoc legal risk queries.
Developing and delivering legal guidance, training materials and resources for teams across the business.
