Offer description

We are recruiting a Supply Chain Planner to join a growing, expanding and market-leading business recognised as one of the North Wests top performers within its sector. This appointment represents an opportunity to join a high-performing supply chain function at a pivotal stage of growth. Reporting to the Planning Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring adequate stock levels to support the needs and growth of the US business. The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for translating demand forecasts into accurate and deliverable supply plans, raising and managing purchase orders through Sage 200, and maintaining alignment between sales forecasts, inventory levels and shipping schedules. Working closely with the Demand Planner, Sales, Customer Service and senior US stakeholders, the successful candidate will proactively identify and resolve stock risks, adjust plans in response to performance trends and ensure continuity of supply in a fast-moving FMCG environment. The position requires regular liaison with suppliers, freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers to ensure that orders are shipped, received and booked accurately and on time. The planner will oversee stock transfers between warehouses, investigate discrepancies, manage short shelf-life risks and support repack or derogation activity where required. In addition, the role involves reviewing the feasibility of new customer launches, contributing to Stage Gate meetings for NPD and delist projects, and supporting smooth market expansion initiatives within the US operation. A strong focus of the role is data integrity and reporting. The Supply Chain Planner will maintain accurate supply chain data within systems, produce weekly out-of-stock reporting, manage daily shipping schedule updates, monitor slow-moving and short shelf-life stock, and contribute to KPI reporting and monthly S&OP dashboards. This role requires someone comfortable working with complex datasets, interpreting trends and presenting clear, practical insights to stakeholders operating across different time zones. We are seeking an experienced FMCG supply chain professional with relevant planning experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capability, advanced Excel proficiency and confidence working within ERP or planning systems such as Sage 200 or similar. Experience with shipping documentation and import procedures would be advantageous. Equally important are strong communication skills, commercial awareness, sound judgement and the ability to make independent decisions in a dynamic and evolving international market. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and ambitious business where supply chain performance is central to success. The role offers meaningful responsibility, international exposure and the chance to contribute directly to the continued expansion of the US operation within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
