About the Role
Electrical Technician (Saffron Walden with regional travel)
You will be responsible for daily electrical maintenance and testing on the Pipeline System, working safely and methodically to ensure all facilities, plant, and equipment are maintained efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaising with technical colleagues to resolve defects, implement changes in plant operation, and respond to maintenance alerts.
* Updating the computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
* Carrying out regular maintenance of LV distribution, small power and lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm testing, and electrical inspections in accordance with BS 7671 and BS 60079, including hazardous area electrical testing.
About You
You should have 5 C Grade GCSEs or equivalent and understand safety management processes such as Permit to Work, Safety Critical Tasks, and Risk Assessments. Holding CompEx, 2394, 2395, and 17th Edition IEE Regulations, and being BS7671 qualified is essential. Availability for overtime for out-of-hours breakdowns and emergencies is required. A clean driving license is also essential.
