Location: Benfleet (Hybrid)Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
Are you a driven Accounts professional looking to take the next step in your practice career? We’re supporting a well-established and growing accountancy firm in Benfleet who are seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied role covering Accounts, Management Accounts, VAT, and Tax, with the flexibility of hybrid working.
The Role:
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting on a range of compliance and advisory tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for SMEs and owner-managed businesses
- Producing monthly/quarterly management accounts with insightful commentary
- Completing VAT returns and providing guidance on VAT queries
- Assisting with corporation and personal tax computations
- Supporting juniors and reviewing work where required
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Part-qualified ACCA/ACA or AAT Qualified (or QBE with strong practice experience)
- Experienced in an accountancy practice environment
- Confident working across Accounts, VAT, Tax and Management Accounts
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload
- Strong with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
