Electrical Safety Manager – Role Overview
All of our customers have the right to live in a safe home. We have a team of dedicated professionals that make that happen, and we're looking for an Electrical Safety Manager to join us. You'll lead and develop the Electrical Safety Team, playing a key role in ensuring we provide peace of mind for our customers. Within this key position you will hold full responsibility for delivering and overseeing the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) programme, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely completion, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering excellent customer outcomes.
This role requires a people‑centred leader who can listen, motivate, and empower colleagues, fostering a culture built on trust, support, and accountability. You will be committed to achieving consistently positive experiences for our customers. As the operational lead for the team, you will represent the organisation in all relevant communications and decision‑making forums. You will also be a key member of the Asset Management & Development management team, demonstrating a proactive, coaching‑led leadership style that positively influences wider teams and strengthens collaboration across the organisation.
Qualifications
We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual with a Level 3 NVQ Diploma (like C&G 2357), the 18th Edition Wiring Regs (BS 7671), the Part P Building Regulations qualification. Inspection and testing 2391‑52 or equivalent. You will bring experience from a housing or construction‑related environment, alongside a strong background in Contract Management and managing directly employed operatives. You will demonstrate a resilient, enthusiastic approach and possess excellent communication skills. You take ownership of issues and have the ability to manage challenging situations with calmness and balance. You will have strong leadership capabilities, along with an open, inclusive, and coaching‑led style. You motivate and inspire others through a trust‑based approach, earning the confidence of colleagues, peers, and partners.
