This role is part of the Education and Academic Services – Library. It offers hybrid working, with some time on campus and some from home.
Summary of the role
The unique resources held in Special Collections are an integral part of the university library service, underpinning teaching and research by providing extensive access to information resources. Your role will support the ongoing work to build the profile of our unique collections both internally and externally, leading on the Library’s Civic Commitment and embedding collections in research, teaching, and learning.
You will work with the other Archivists in post to lead in the development of our collections in line with our policies and wider University strategies, promoting collections and applying technology in heritage.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated individual with a keen and wide‑ranging interest in the Heritage and Higher Education environment. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service, a strong commitment to promoting collections, and to the application of technology in Heritage.

The starting salary will be from £33,951 on Grade E, depending on qualifications and experience.
