As an autonomous EMHP, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality services that promote and improve the mental health and well-being of children and young people, their families, and carers.
Based within a school-based team, you will provide direct interventions for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, following professional guidelines and a structured supervision framework. The post holder will be expected to adapt to new duties aligned with professional and service developments.
The MHST in Salford is well established, part of the trailblazer sites across GM, with a team of dynamic and innovative practitioners committed to developing integrated practice with community partners. The team, based centrally in Salford, has access to various community resources and supports professional development, training, and personal growth within a welcoming team environment.
The successful applicant will work within the MHST national framework, conducting assessments and interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers in educational settings. You will support schools and education providers to develop whole-setting approaches to emotional health and well-being, offering advice, consultation, support, and training to services to ensure appropriate interventions are provided for young people's mental health difficulties.
As a senior team member, you will contribute to project development, supervise junior staff and trainees, and represent the team at community and partnership meetings.
