Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role is to assist with the co‑ordination of marketing communications and support the delivery of marketing campaigns across all channels.
Responsibilities
* The role communicates plans with all channels within the business, as well as suppliers communicating key marketing and trading messages clearly.
* This role also involves working with online and digital channels, key marketing functions, buying, merchandising, supply chain, retail ops, and trading admin to create a clear and structured marketing plan.
* The role supports the marketing communications team in working with Marketing channels, Trading, Product Development, Merchandising, Supply and Retail, to bring together the planning and delivery of customer‑facing activity across the business, including Above the Line activity, promotions, events, communications, product range & New Product Development launches.
* Captures the detail of planning and development of each activity / event / proposition, using excellent project management skills.
* Preparation of materials for key meetings to support as required, along with clear and timely follow‑ups.
* Ensures 100% accuracy of output of all work being shared with the business.
* Maintains the communication packs on a daily basis with any communications updates.
* Regularly sets up reports to understand the performance of key campaigns.
* Creates and signs off on T&C’s.
* Ensures all teams have the correct information to brief creative, and reviews all creative ahead of it going live.
* Provides weekly sales reporting to influence forward plans.
* Takes on additional admin such as raising purchase orders.
* Ensures that the business activity plan is maintained daily.
* Helps in the creation of the forward plan based on topical events and what has worked for the business.
* Creates line lists activity where relevant.
* Collates analysis of key market activity and data to inform future campaigns.
* Spends more time in‑store to understand our position in the market.
* Writes wash‑up and keeps POD/creative decks up to date.
* Assists with internal communications.
* Attends relevant meetings and circulates key information.
* Coordinates gift card activity.
* Coordinates supplier‑funded campaigns.
