Job Title: Contract Manager Job Type: Full-time - Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30 Location: Colchester We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Manager to oversee the complete contract lifecycle, from initiation through execution. The successful candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, proven project management experience, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. This role is key to ensuring contracts are executed efficiently, meet organisational objectives, and maintain compliance with agreed terms. Key Responsibilities Manage the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met. Collaborate with internal departments to collect necessary information for contract drafting and execution. Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions. Maintain accurate, organised records of all contracts and related documentation. Provide guidance and support to team members on contract-related queries. Conduct regular contract audits to identify improvements and mitigate risks.Required Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in project management methodologies for handling multiple contracts simultaneously. Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other IT tools for analysis and reporting. High level of organisation and attention to detail for accurate documentation.Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in contract management or a similar role. Solid understanding of project management principles.
