Our client, a leading international law firm, is actively recruiting for someone to join the firms' Internal Audit function in London - working as their new Internal Auditor with a focus on Compliance & Financial Crime.
This role will operate as the 'third line of defence' to monitor the design adequacy and operational effectiveness of the firms' policy frameworks, procedures and controls.
As the successful Internal Auditor, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Conducting internal audits, testing the design/operational effectiveness of the firms' Compliance & Corporate Governance controls
- Escalating any issues/findings from audits to key senior stakeholders
- Assisting the Senior Internal Manager with ad-hoc audits
- Maintaining the firms' system to monitor and track agreed actions
- Reporting findings from file reviews to the relevant Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs) and Chief Risk & Compliance Officer

To be considered for this new Internal Auditor opportunity, you'll need to have/be the following:
- Be educated to degree level
- Have experience from an international compliance function
- Have knowledge of sanctions, PEPs, corporate structures and other high-risk categories
- Ideally, have experience of Corporate Governance frameworks
