Our client is seeking a AWS Data Engineer to join their team for a freelance B2B contract that is expected to last 12 months, with potential for additional extensions. This position is 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

Skills and Responsibilities:
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
* Strong SQL/PLSQL skills, particularly with MS SQL and Oracle databases.
* Extensive experience coding in Python.
* Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline design.
* Familiar with data lakes and their architecture.
* Experience with Apache Airflow (MWAA) for workflow management.
* Experience with AWS Athena/PySpark (Glue) for data querying and processing.
* Proficient in SQL with experience in both relational and NoSQL databases.
* Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure without being distracted by complexity.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
* Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
* Passion for data quality and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data engineering.
