Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Brookthorpe Hall School – Gloucestershire GL4 0UN
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon–Fri
Contract: Permanent, Term-Time only (there may be scope for a full-time contract (52 weeks); please discuss if this is your preference)
Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE DOE

About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Clinical Wellbeing team. The post holder will work collaboratively to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our pupils. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as they expand their clinical provision, making a real difference and implementing a holistic, therapeutic approach. You will be responsible for holding a Speech and Language therapy caseload at Brookthorpe Hall School. With the full support of our well-established and knowledgeable Clinical Team, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice. The position would suit a resilient and enthusiastic individual with a therapeutic approach, the ability to make decisions, and the capacity to manage their own workload. All settings maintain a strong safeguarding culture, with pupils being heard, respected and involved in decisions that affect them where possible. Essential Criteria
* Speech and Language Therapy degree
* Registered with HCPC and RCSLT or RCOT
* A minimum of 5+ years practicing experience as a SaLT in a similar setting with diverse and complex communication profiles and other needs
* Experience in multi-disciplinary working in a range of settings, with some responsibility for service and team performance
* Clear and concise report writing related to clinical and research activities
* Experience of providing clinical supervision
* Experience of multi-professional work teams or services within the designated specialty
