About the Role
We are an education agency recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants and Support Workers to work at a Special Needs School, supporting children and young people with additional and complex needs.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will support pupils both academically and with their wider development, working closely with teachers and specialist staff.
About the School
Rosehill Special Needs School supports pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties and complex needs. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment focused on inclusion, communication and individual progress.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting pupils in the classroom and during activities
2. Providing 1:1 or small-group support
3. Assisting with personal care where required
4. Supporting pupils' social, emotional and behavioural needs
5. Following EHCPs, care plans and risk assessments
Essential Requirements
Experience working with SEN / SEND children or young people
A caring, patient and reliable approach
Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Desirable (Not Essential)
Special school experience
Autism / complex needs experience
Moving & Handling or personal care experience
Team Teach / Positive Handling / MAPA
