Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Psychosis team and community clozapine clinic as a split post. The Psychosis Team includes four pathways: Assertive Outreach, Psychosis, Early Intervention in Psychosis, and At Risk Mental State. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with experience in working with a range of mental health problems, particularly psychosis. The postholder should have strong knowledge of physical health monitoring and parity of esteem, with experience in monitoring side effects and medicines, especially antipsychotics and clozapine, including contraindications with other medicines.
Responsibilities
* Provide a comprehensive Community Mental Health Nursing Service across a range of clients experiencing mental ill health within the psychosis pathway.
* Deliver services in collaboration with representatives from other agencies; work independently and with partner agencies as required.
* Demonstrate post-registration RMN experience in inpatient and/or community settings.
* Offer strong clinical support, supervision and participate in multidisciplinary teamwork.
* Move around the large geographical area of North Lincs to deliver interventions in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with post-registration experience.
* Experience in working with individuals with psychosis and across related pathways.
* Strong knowledge of physical health monitoring and outcomes; awareness of medicines, particularly antipsychotics and clozapine, and their contraindications.
Working Arrangements and Benefits
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (some flexibility required), excluding bank holidays. The role requires the ability to travel across a large geographical area to deliver interventions in a timely manner.
