THIS POST IS A SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE

We are looking for a competent Project Support Officer to come and work within our People and Culture Change Team. Working alongside the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to projects which aim to create and maintain inclusive services and practices for our services users and staff. You will provide key support to help the Trust achieve the aims of its Strategic Equality Objectives and to ensure that the Trust operates in line with its statutory requirements. Team projects include developing and delivering training, inclusive recruitment projects, facilitating staff networks, policy development and advising on impact assessment.

You will need to be a team player who demonstrates attitudes and behaviours that align with those of the Trust. Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are also integral to this role to ensure the smooth implementation of our projects.

The Senior Project Support Officer is responsible for providing high-level project and administrative support to assist in the planning and delivery of projects. This includes supporting, facilitating, and monitoring the progress of projects, identifying risks, and reporting to the Project Manager. The role requires effective communication and negotiation skills to overcome barriers and ensure the dissemination of information to all identified parties.

The officer will also be involved in evaluating and assessing project performance, capturing and monitoring project risks, and undertaking reporting and analysis of information using various IT applications including Microsoft Office 365. They will plan and deliver specific elements of the project, provide administrative and technical support to Project Managers, and organise meetings or events.

Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing policies related to the project, maintaining and ordering stock and supplies, and supporting the development and delivery of training staff on all levels. The officer will also develop and maintain the project library, databases, and associated resource lists, ensuring data is recorded accurately.

The Senior Project Support Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by providing comprehensive support and maintaining effective communication and coordination among stakeholders.

In line with the Trust's Starting Salary Procedure, all applicants will start at the bottom of the band for the position applied for, but can apply for a higher salary if they have previous experience relevant to the position.
