Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Merseyside to recruit a Performing Arts Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Performing Arts specialist with experience in Dance, Drama, Music, or Acting who is keen to inspire students, build confidence, and support creative expression across KS3 and KS4.
The Role as a Performing Arts Teacher:
As a Performing Arts Teacher, you will work with students across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and creative lessons that encourage participation, performance skills, teamwork, and self-expression. You may be supporting students preparing for performances, assessments, or GCSE-level Performing Arts qualifications.
Key Responsibilities as a Performing Arts Teacher:
• Deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons across Dance, Drama, Music, or Acting
• Support students in developing confidence, creativity, and performance skills
• Prepare pupils for performances, assessments, and GCSE coursework
• Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs
• Encourage participation and positive behaviour through creative engagement
• Track student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Build positive relationships to motivate and inspire learners
The Ideal Candidate as a Performing Arts Teacher:
• Strong subject knowledge in Performing Arts (Dance, Drama, Music, or Acting qualifications desirable)
• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Experience teaching or leading Performing Arts sessions in a school or similar setting
• Energetic, adaptable, and engaging teaching style
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
