Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join the North West Leicestershire GP Federation to support the Primary Care Network, as part of our Clinical Pharmacist Team. Clinical Pharmacists are supported and mentored by our Senior Clinical Pharmacist and Leadership Team, and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient-facing environment. You would be supported to develop your role and to become a non-medical prescriber, if not already. The post holder will be employed by North West Leicestershire Federation and this position would be based at one of the GP practices within the PCN.
Main duties of the job:
1. Take responsibility for medicines management, clinical medication reviews, improving prescribing processes, and patient safety alerts.
2. Support general practice staff with drugs monitoring, the repeat prescription system, and the dispensing team.
3. Work with the wider GP Federation Pharmacy team as part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team.
4. Enroll in (if not already completed) CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy education pathway and pursue an Independent Prescribing qualification.
