Job Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Producer for the forthcoming production of DELAY by Timothy X Atack, directed by Tanuja Amarasuriya and produced by Amanda Fawcett in a Co-Production with Bristol Old Vic.
Job Description
This is a paid opportunity for an early-career Producer to develop their skills on a professional production with a full creative team, and gain practical experience of producing a new play and planning for its future.
We're looking for someone who is keen to learn and develop their producing practice, and excited by the process of bringing a new play to an audience.
We particularly welcome applications from those based in the South-West, due to the location of rehearsals.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and identities, but given the nature and themes of this production, we are particularly encouraging applications from people who belong to the LGBTQ+ community and the Global Majority. Global Majority refers to people who are Black, Asian, Brown, dual-heritage, indigenous to the global south, and/or have been racialised as 'ethnic minorities.'
The role will enable the successful applicant to be part of the complete arc of a professional production from the start of rehearsals through to the close of the run and planning its future life.
We're keen that this placement gives you a chance to learn on the job and get insights into the industry, so we'll be offering a mentorship session with our partner, Bristol Old Vic.
This position is offered as part of the "Proper Job Programme" by Amanda Fawcett Productions Ltd and supported by Arts Council England.
This is a contract which will cover rehearsals, opening, the show's run and following the production.
The Assistant Producer will need to be able to work 2-3 days p/week from 26th May - end of July. There will be some flexibility in the allocation of these days, but attendance will be required at key points: 27th May, 18th June and 24th June.
(if you have clashes with any of these dates, but are interested in the role, do still apply and we can discuss dates)
