Position: Administrator – Home First Team (Discharge to Access – D2A) based in Tamworth.
Role summary: Provide confidential and effective administrative support to the Home First Team. Organise and prioritise tasks, support the Team Leader with recruitment and induction, and travel between Trust locations as required.
Main duties
* Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines to deliver a high‑quality service.
* Maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when handling sensitive situations.
* Attend meetings, transcribe and distribute minutes, book venues and arrange hospitality.
* Be confident and proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Office and IT systems.
* Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures and guidelines, and alert nurses/management if concerned about patient care.
* Assist the Team Leader in recruitment and induction of new staff.
Qualifications & Training
* Good standard of general education including GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
* NVQ Level 3, RSA III or equivalent level of secretarial/administrative experience, or actively working towards.
* ECDL.
* Minimum 1 year administration experience.
Experience
* Relevant secretarial experience as Team Secretary/Administrator.
* Previous experience of data input.
* Previous experience of working within the NHS or a care‑based setting.
* Relevant experience of working in an office environment.
* Experience of using RiO or a patient clinical system or database systems.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
* Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
* Understanding of the importance of effective team working.
* Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, etc.).
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Willingness to meet travel requirements, including coverage at other offices.
* High‑level written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience using internal and external systems.
