We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Peterborough. This is a full-time role starting ASAP and running until July 2026, ideal for a qualified teacher looking for a long-term position in a supportive school environment.
The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages, fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for art.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if required)
2. Develop students’ creative skills using a range of media and techniques
3. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
4. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
5. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
6. Work collaboratively with the department and wider school staff
7. Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
9. Experience teaching Art in a UK secondary school
10. Strong subject knowledge and passion for creative education
11. Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students
12. Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
13. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
