Are you an experienced Engineering Assessor with strenghs in Mechatrocnics? Do you have experience supporting apprentices?
We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Assessor (Mechatronics) to join our team. This role involves managing a caseload of apprentices and providing high-quality teaching, coaching, and support to enhance both the apprentice and employer experience within our Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Programme.

* Annual Salary: £39,917 - £42,935
* Location: Slough & Langley Campus
* Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
* Hours: 37 hours per week
Day-to-day of the role of an Engineering Assessor:
* Deliver a comprehensive programme of learning to cohorts of Engineering Apprentices.
* Conduct regular visits and formative assessments either in the workplace or remotely to ensure progress towards successful completion.
* Provide ongoing support and coaching to apprentices, ensuring engagement and understanding of the apprenticeship standards by both apprentices and their employers.
* Conduct progress reviews every 10-12 weeks to discuss learner progress, provide feedback, and track completions towards skills, knowledge, and behaviours.
* Carry out initial assessments with apprentices to establish appropriate pathways and timelines for the apprenticeship.
* Monitor and support the 'off the job' training hours of apprentices to meet audit requirements.
* Utilise various tools such as Microsoft Teams and e-portfolios for effective communication and assessment.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date apprentice records using systems like EBS and Pro-achieve.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Level 2 English and Maths.
* Degree or equivalent vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience working with Apprentices, employers, or in an Apprenticeship-based office.
* Familiarity with awarding bodies, EPAOs, and curriculum teams.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Assessor award A1 or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
* Drivers licence and access to a car
