With ambitions to grow our UK presence to emulate thesuccess of the global business, we are looking for an experiencedecologist to join our established network of over 95 ecologists withthe energy to contribute to a diverse project portfolio.nThe person inthis role will be a confident and competent ecologist and we willencourage professional development in areas that align with their owninterests and Tetra Techs business strategy. We encourage ourecologists to lead on projects that align with their technicalskillset and expertise and will provide inhouse Project Managementtraining and an array of technical training. With an eye for detailand a desire to deliver to high standards, a key element of this rolewill be to provide support and feedback to colleagues on projectdeliverables, drawing on the knowledge of our technical experts todevelop the best solutions.nWe pride ourselves on our ability to offerprofessional ecology advice across a breadth of sectors includingresidential, defence, energy, government services and transport. Withover 95 permanent ecologists, we can draw on the knowledge of ourtechnical experts to develop the best solutions. Examples of projectswe currently work on include:nBat roost assessment and emergencesurveys of Service Family AccommodationnProtected species surveys ofwind turbine sites with associated ES chapters and HRAnEcologicalAppraisal and associated protected species surveys of solar farms andBESS sitesnWe Lead with Science and we encourage our team to sharetheir findings with the industry (subject to sensitivities of timingsand client permissions). We also encourage research-based elements tobe brought into projects and many of the botanical projects we haveworked on have resulted in publications and we encourage our team tocontinue to do this.nThe role will require work with colleagues fromacross the wider business on multi-disciplinary opportunities andprojects so a willingness to understand how other parts of thebusiness work would be advantageous. Our success is, in part, due toour established and long-lasting relationships with clients and therole will involve working closely with clients across a range ofsectors including Residential, Defence, Infrastructure, Energy andGovernment Services.nGiven the variety of projects we work on, we arelooking for a Senior Ecologist who has strong field skills andambitions to develop their technical skills in line with projectrequirements. With support from the regional and national ecologyteams, and in line with our defined career framework, generaldevelopment of expertise across many areas of ecology and particulartechnical specialisms will be encouraged. We have technical leadswithin the national team who can mentor and provide advice in keyareas. We show our support for professional development through theprovision of training, plus bonuses for achieving bat licences andcharterships.nFlexible Working:nWe operate fully flexible, hybridworking which allows our ecologists to choose where, how and when theywork as long as our clients are receiving the high-quality servicethey expect.
