About the role We’re looking for a detail-focused and proactive Racing Data Operator to join our Podium Racing Data team. This is a fast-paced operational role supporting live racing services. You’ll be responsible for collecting, preparing and distributing pre-race data, as well as processing live betting and results information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of racing data services, working closely with colleagues, suppliers and customers. This includes validating live data, responding to queries, and liaising with data providers and correspondents to maintain service quality throughout your shift. You’ll also monitor live data feeds, identify and escalate issues quickly, and communicate effectively with Shift Leaders and the wider operations team to ensure any problems are resolved promptly. Your work will directly impact the accuracy and reliability of the services we provide to customers. Working within a 24/7 racing environment, you’ll need to remain calm under pressure, follow established processes and deliver consistently high standards in a time-sensitive setting. What you’ll need * A strong understanding of horse racing (and greyhound racing where applicable) * Knowledge of key betting concepts and markets * Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy * The ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure * Strong written and verbal communication skills * The ability to follow operational processes and standard procedures * Confidence working with live data and responding to real-time issues * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks during busy periods * A proactive approach and the ability to escalate issues appropriately * The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers and customers * An understanding of how data impacts downstream customers and services * Flexibility to work within a 24/7, 365-day racing schedule Nice to have * Previous experience in a data operations or racing environment * Experience working with betting or racing data systems * Familiarity with live data validation and service monitoring * Experience liaising with third-party suppliers or data providers Good to know before you apply This is a fixed-term position up to the end of September 2026. Due to the nature of the role and working hours applicants must be aged 18 or over. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic DBS check, Adverse Financial check and ID check.
