Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Participate in food production processes, including cooking and plating of meals.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
* Support in supervising junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Contribute to menu development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
* Uphold high standards of culinary presentation and taste in all dishes served.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, showcasing culinary skills and knowledge of food production.
* Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
* Experience in supervising or managing team members is advantageous.
* Excellent cooking skills with a keen interest in developing further culinary expertise.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* A background in hospitality or restaurant experience is beneficial for this role.
