Responsibilities
The Antenatal Clinic and Antenatal Day Assessment Unit form part of the Outpatient Department at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. The Band 7 Manager will have overall responsibility for both outpatient areas, providing leadership and support to staff. Key responsibilities include managing staff sickness in line with organisational policy, overseeing rota management, ensuring staff training and compliance, leading audits, and working collaboratively with the Human Resources department as required. The role also includes a clinical commitment, with a minimum of 7.5 hours per week allocated to clinical practice to support service delivery. The post holder will have oversight of the day-to-day operational running of both areas, ensuring the safe, effective, and high-quality delivery of care to women and their families.
