Responsibilities
* Work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.
* Take responsibility for day‑to‑day store operation, often being the sole manager accountable for the full shop.
* Collaborate with the team to complete all tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely.
* Manage people: oversee performance and capability, conduct disciplinaries, and ensure accurate scheduling and pay.
* Be prepared to support other stores within the network when needed.
* Lead store operations independently in the absence of senior management.
Qualifications
* Previous line management experience in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
* Excellent customer service skills and ability to coach a team to deliver the same.
* Track record of achieving or surpassing KPIs and other performance indicators.
* Experience managing disciplinaries, performance issues, and other employee‑relations matters.
* Operational leadership skills: ability to run store operations alone when senior managers are absent.
* Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales, availability, customer‑satisfaction or colleague‑engagement targets.
* Experience with employee‑relations issues, including performance and absence management.
