About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Band 6 Nuclear Medicine Radiographer to join a dedicated imaging team in Carshalton on an ongoing locum basis. This full-time opportunity offers competitive hourly pay and the chance to further develop your expertise within a supportive clinical environment.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality nuclear medicine imaging services to both adult and paediatric patients. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate diagnostics and safe, effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
* Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging for adult and paediatric patients
* Administer radiopharmaceuticals in line with departmental protocols
* Undertake cannulation confidently and safely
* Ensure patient safety, comfort and dignity at all times
Collaboration & Communication
* Work closely with radiologists, clinicians and wider multidisciplinary teams
* Contribute to discussions regarding imaging findings and patient management
* Provide clear information and reassurance to patients and families
Governance & Compliance
* Adhere to radiation protection regulations and health and safety standards
* Maintain accurate records and imaging documentation in line with departmental policies
* Support quality assurance and continuous service improvement initiatives
Requirements
* HCPC registration as a Radiographer
* Post-registration experience within Nuclear Medicine
* Competency in cannulation
* Knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory requirements
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Full UK driving licence
