Sheet Metal Supervisor Job Overview
* Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of 5 shop-floor employees (welders, press brake operators, punch operators, etc.)
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings to guide production and ensure accuracy
* Provide hands-on support with welding, fabrication, and related tasks when required
* Review job requirements and compile accurate, competitive quotations
* Ensure quality control standards are met across all projects
* Monitor and manage workflow to meet tight deadlines
* Troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical solutions
* Communicate effectively with team members and management

Sheet Metal Supervisor Job Requirements
* Strong background in sheet metal work, welding, and fabrication
* Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
* Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
* Capable of producing quotations based on material, time, and labor assessments
* Hands-on approach with a willingness to support production activities when needed
* Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills

Sheet Metal Supervisor Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £35,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience and skills)
* Holiday: 188 hours annual leave plus all bank holidays
* Pension: Company pension scheme
