Full Job Description

Job Title: Digital Hardware Engineering Lead

Location: Cowes

Salary: Up to £75,000depending on skills and experience plus bonus scheme

What you’ll be doing:

* Contributing to theoverall design and development of advanced radar systems, supportingthe growth of new products from concept through to delivery
* Leading the definition and integration of hardware and digitalsubsystem interfaces, including high-speed data, control, andcalibration signals
* Developing hardware specifications andarchitectures for digital components, including both bespoke andoff-the-shelf solutions
* Translating signal processingconcepts into real-world solutions through modelling, simulation, andrequirement definition
* Defining and coordinating systemtiming strategies to enable efficient scheduling and real-timeperformance across subsystems
* Supporting system-leveltesting, calibration, and design assurance activities to ensureproduct performance and reliability

Your skills andexperiences:

Essential skills:

* Strongbackground in Electronics Engineering, with a focus on digitalhigh-speed and complex design
* Experience in data analysisusing tools such as MATLAB or Excel
* Degree in electronicsengineering, physics preferred but could have any STEM degree, orexperience equivalent
* Understanding of system integration and design assurance processes
* Familiarity with high-speed digital communications
* Solid grasp of all hardware disciplines, with multi-disciplinaryengineering knowledge
* Previous experience working with radarsystems, particularly AESAs (Active Electronically Scanned Arrays)

As the Digital Hardware Engineering Lead, you willbe focused on the electronic aspects of hardware design, offering theopportunity to lead complex engineering efforts across the fulldevelopment lifecycle from requirements definition through to systemintegration, customer acceptance, and support.

Our workplacein Cowes is an easily accessible commute from Southampton with aregular foot passenger ferry and BAE shuttle service from the ferryterminal to site.
