Salary Scale: Grade 10 - £51,802 - £56,131 per annum,
Market Supplement £1239 per annum and 2 % Recruitment and Retention Allowance.
Permanent, 37 Hours pw

Together for Children works on behalf of Sunderland City Council to deliver children’s services in the city including social care, early help and education. We work with unborn babies and children/young people until they are 18 years old.

We are looking for a suitably experienced Team Manager to join the Children with Disability Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team, based at the Sandhill Centre.

The team assess, monitor and review Child In Need, Child Protection and Cared For Plans including Care Proceedings. You will be responsible for day to day decision making and line managing the Assistant Team Manager and Social Workers within the team. You will have an established track record in safeguarding and multi-agency working whilst also having knowledge and understanding of legislation which underpins social work practice, specific to children and young people with disabilities. You will have the skills and expertise to motivate and support Social Workers, setting high standards and enabling excellent practice.
