About the ICT Teacher Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated ICT Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team at a well-established secondary school in Banbury. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, delivering engaging lessons on a wide range of ICT topics including programming, digital literacy, and technology in society.
As an ICT Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, interactive lessons that support student development, foster creativity, and prepare students for the digital world. The role also involves contributing to the growth of the department and supporting colleagues in the continued improvement of teaching and learning practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality ICT lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, covering a range of topics including coding, digital media, and computer networks.
* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback that supports development and improvement.
* Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills, encouraging students to explore the real-world applications of ICT.
* Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development, ensuring lessons reflect current trends and industry practices.
* Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage a positive learning environment.
* Participate in extracurricular activities, including ICT clubs and technology-related events.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A passion for ICT and technology, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
* Strong knowledge of ICT, including programming, digital literacy, and emerging technologies.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Previous experience teaching ICT at the secondary level.
