Daily Expectations & Routine
Morning:
You’ll support the pupil’s transition into school:
* Helping them settle
* Setting expectations for the day
* Providing reassurance where needed

In the Classroom:
You will:
* Support learning through movement and engagement
* Break tasks down into manageable steps
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher and TA partner

Active Support Approach:
This role is not desk-based. You will:
* Use sport and movement to keep the pupil engaged
* Support regulation through activity
* Encourage participation in lessons

Break & Lunch:
You will:
* Facilitate active play
* Encourage social interaction
* Support positive behaviour

End of Day:
Staff remain until 3:30pm–4:30pm, using this time to:
* Share updates with the team
* Reflect on the day
* Prepare for upcoming lessons

Pre-Start Opportunity
You’ll have the chance to complete trial shifts before September to:
* Build familiarity
* Develop a connection with the pupil
* Gain confidence in the setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
