Roles of a Quality Inspector
Conducting inspections across multiple production areas
Inspecting processes such as wire preparation, crimping, ultrasonic splicing and harness assembly
Checking PCB assemblies and control box builds meet required specifications
Carrying out process audits to ensure correct tools, materials and work instructions are being used
Completing product audits to verify assemblies meet drawings and technical specifications
Performing detailed inspections including dimensional checks and crimp measurements
Recording inspection results accurately within digital quality systems
Identifying defects and raising quality alerts when issues occur
Supporting containment of non-conforming products and escalating issues where required
Assisting the quality team with identifying trends and continuous improvement opportunities
Requirements of a Quality Inspector
Previous experience in manufacturing quality inspection preferred
Experience working with electrical assemblies or wiring harnesses advantageous
Ability to read and follow technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
Good computer literacy and confidence using digital systems
Ability to work independently across the factory floor
Must be able to attend an interview
