Job Purpose
As a Senior Analyst within our Bioresource, Energy & Carbon (BEC) Strategy and Commercial team you will deliver services that provide Performance, Energy, Environmental and cost/revenue reporting for internal and external (including regulatory) stakeholders.
The primary duty is to undertake data management for Bioresource and Energy assets including data reporting and analysis to deliver outputs for compliance as well as for optimisation of assets/systems.
The role will work closely with Bioresource operations to provide insight and MI reporting to enable effective decision making and to optimise operational performance for sludge management.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Manage systems to ensure delivery of daily, weekly and monthly reports for CHP and Biomethane production and performance; detailing downtime, recovery timescale and site problems etc.
* Management (stewardship) of data systems to ensure timely and accurate supply of data
* Manage and maintain register to rectify data issues and coordinate activities with relevant stakeholders
* Bioresources data sets and instrumentation reviews to support data quality. This will require work with wider business stakeholders, e.g. Operational Technology (OT)
* Build new reports for business users
Technical Skills & Experience
* Experience using analytics platforms/tools such as Tableau, SQL, Python or similar
* Excellent communication skills to lead engagement with BEC stakeholders
* An appreciation of the current UK Energy, Carbon and Bioresource policy and regulatory landscape
* An understanding of Bioresource (sludge treatment) processes
* Ability to define requirements for data management, e.g. data from instrument to database
