Our client owns and operates a large commercial site incorporating a range of services open to the general public, including shopping, cafes, bars, restaurants, car parks, and transport facilities. This is an exciting time to join this organization as they undertake a major regeneration of their facility, which when complete will provide a world-class facility for the public and its users.
Your new role
This is a full-time permanent position based in Antrim. You will join an existing engineering and projects team, reporting to the Capital Projects Manager, with specific responsibility for the Mechanical & Electrical elements of all capital projects within the wider development program of approximately £100m. These projects include new buildings, fit-outs, and refurbishments. Main duties include:
* Manage design, delivery, and commissioning of M&E services within projects
* Develop plans for scope, schedule, budget, and resources
* Coordinate with tender and pre-construction teams to meet requirements
* Manage design, drawings, and approvals process in line with the programme
* Ensure projects comply with building regulations and specifications
* Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams for clear communication
* Monitor progress against targets
* Support Quantity Surveyors with review of changes to contracts and valuations of work

What you'll need to succeed
To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
* Minimum Level 6 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or relevant discipline
* Full current driving licence & own transport
* CSCS, CSR, SafePass, or equivalent construction industry card
* At least 5 years of experience as a Project or Contracts Manager in large-scale construction projects
* Proven supervisory and people management experience, including performance and development
* Experience managing contractors and consultants
* Experience managing and reporting on project financial performance
* Experience with contract administration
