About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You will build relationships with residents and their families to ensure personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will uphold high standards of care and positively influence your team. Whether demonstrating the use of a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness will guide your actions.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. Maintaining accurate records and fostering strong team relationships are also key parts of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) and be willing to pursue Level 3 qualification. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for individuals with dementia is preferred. However, your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, effective time management, and considerate communication are essential.
