We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Service Manager to work with a forward-thinking MSP based in Somerset. The IT Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring the company’s services are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs. The role involves leading IT service delivery and system administration teams, driving safe and efficient operations, and delivering multiple IT projects within a multi-divisional business.
Role responsibilities:
* Collaborate with managers and partners to meet business priorities, conduct service reviews, and implement improvements.
* Manage and support project-specific services related to partner requirements.
* Oversee infrastructure and applications to ensure compliance and performance.
* Work proactively with suppliers to address service gaps.
* Maintain and improve Service Level Agreements aligned with business needs.
* Identify and implement service improvements.
* Understand IT costs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
* Act as the primary contact for IT issues between the business and partners.
* Monitor risks related to operational services and escalate as needed.
* Define and report on system performance metrics.
* Manage changes to IT services to minimise business impact.
* Ensure smooth transition of IT services from delivery to operations.
* Allocate resources efficiently within projects.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Skills, experience, and qualifications:
* Strong support background in System Administration.
* Proven experience in managing IT services, delivering improvements, and financial management.
* Customer-focused with strong partnership-building skills.
* Experience with external service provider management.
* Skilled in SLA development and management.
* Experience in developing services to meet business needs.
* Practical knowledge of AzureDevOps, JIRA, or similar tools supporting agile methodologies.
* Leadership skills to guide project teams.

* Ability to present reports effectively.
