The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key commercial clients, analysing sales performance, and driving initiatives that increase revenue, market share, and long-term customer partnerships. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve KPIs, revenue targets, and pipeline goals. Develop and implement commercial sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market opportunities. Manage key client accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service, project coordination support, and long-term retention. Identify and pursue new business opportunities including commercial solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and related energy solutions. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and technological developments to inform strategic decisions. Provide regular training to the sales team on product knowledge, industry developments, and effective sales methodologies. Analyse sales data and pipeline reports to forecast performance and identify areas for growth or improvement. Work closely with technical, design, and project delivery teams to ensure accurate proposals, smooth handovers, and excellent customer experiences. Oversee resource planning, meeting schedules, and sales reporting to streamline operations and enhance team efficiency. Maintain professional standards of communication and client engagement, including excellent phone and email etiquette. Skills & Experience Proven experience in sales management, ideally within commercial solar, renewable energy, electrical, engineering, or construction environments. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide, inspire, and develop high-performing sales teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients, suppliers, and internal departments. Experience managing B2B client accounts and developing long-term commercial relationships. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales performance data and convert insights into actionable strategies. Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, capable of prioritising tasks in a fast-moving environment. Proficiency in administrative processes including reporting, CRM management, scheduling, and record keeping. Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions, customer requirements, and shifts in the renewable energy landscape. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous, particularly for liaising with international suppliers or clients.
