An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting supporting children aged 5–11, although learners may be secondary-aged but working at primary levels. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, working 8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Please note that end times may vary on some weekdays.

You will be working within a highly supportive pupil referral environment that is recognised for its strong pastoral ethos and commitment to re-engaging learners.
Pupils present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, which may include: Emotional regulation and behavioural challenges, Anxiety and difficulties engaging with learning, Impact of trauma or adverse experiences and Gaps in learning requiring primary-style teaching and interventions
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver general teaching and targeted interventions and adapt lessons.
* Create a safe, engaging and structured classroom environment
* Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and re-engagement with learning
Requirements
* Primary-trained teacher (essential due to learning levels)
* Minimum 6 months childcare experience, especially supporting children with SEN needs
* Experience with SEMH or alternative provision is highly desirable
