Description Verisk‘s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide you with real work experience, professional development, and networking opportunities. This is a full-time (35 hours/ week) paid internship program spans from June to August 2026. Participation in the internship program requires that you to be located near the Esher, Surrey office as the program is a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be in the office at least 2 days per week. Internship Roles We’re Looking to Fill: Junior Product Specialist Intern Responsibilities As a Junior Product Specialist Intern, you’ll support the development and delivery of API-driven products that help solve real-world problems in the insurance space. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure product requirements are clearly defined, documented, and translated into actionable development tasks. You’ll also help support our customers by helping to diagnose and resolve client issues. Support Business Operations: Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements through workshops and stakeholder interviews. Analytical Thinking: Apply problem-solving skills to understand user needs and translate them into product features or to diagnose a defect and resolve a client issue. Data Skills: Work with data teams to understand how data flows through systems and contributes to product functionality. Communication: Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear understanding of expectations and deliverables. Product Development: Gain exposure to API-driven product development and learn how digital products are built and maintained. Industry Insight: Explore how underwriting and insurance shape product decisions and business strategy. We don’t list specific technical skills because we value passion, analytical thinking, and adaptability. We’re looking for team players who want to grow and contribute meaningfully. Experience Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in IT, Economics, Business, or Statistics (or a related field) that allows for company placements. Basic familiarity with Excel; exposure to SQL, Python, or BI tools is a plus. Experience working on analytical or data-driven projects is beneficial. Interest in the insurance industry or underwriting is welcomed but not required. The Intern Program is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. If you will require work visa sponsorship after completing your degree, you do not meet the basic requirements of the summer intern role.
