Electrical Supervisor – Social Housing (Leeds Area) Location: Leeds & West Yorkshire

We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Supervisor to work with a leading contractor delivering electrical compliance, upgrades, and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties throughout the Leeds area. This is a hands-on working supervisor position, ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and proven leadership experience specifically within domestic and social housing environments.
The Role You will supervise and support a team of electricians carrying out maintenance, remedial works, testing, rewires and compliance upgrades across a busy social housing portfolio. You will ensure all works meet statutory regulations, certification standards, and the contractor's quality expectations while maintaining excellent working relationships with tenants, housing officers, and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities Lead and support electricians working across multiple social housing sites.
Ensure all electrical works comply with regulations and NICEIC/BS7671 standards.
Carry out a mix of supervisory duties and hands-on electrical work when required.
Oversee daily planning, resource allocation, and workflow management.
Ensure testing, inspection, and certification are completed accurately and on schedule.
Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and enforce safe working practices.
Liaise closely with housing officers, tenants, subcontractors, and the client's compliance team.
Maintain documentation including EICRs, minor works certificates and job completion records.
Support quality audits and ensure all works are delivered right first time .
Requirements NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
18th Edition (C&G 2382).
C&G 2391 (or equivalent) testing & inspection qualification preferred.
Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor within the social housing sector is essential.
Strong understanding of domestic electrical systems, compliance requirements and safety standards.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication, organisational, and tenant-facing skills.
