GSL Education are looking for enthusiastic and committed Graduate Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools in Spalding. This is the perfect opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience before starting teacher training or pursuing further studies in education.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Grad TA), you will work closely with teachers to support students’ academic progress and personal development. Whether you’re looking for flexible supply work or a long-term position, we have roles to match your availability and interests.
Graduate Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Work with students 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning
* Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation
* Encourage participation and engagement during lessons
* Provide academic and emotional support to pupils
* Assist students across different Key Stages, including those with additional needs
* Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
Requirements for Graduate TA:
* A recent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Education, Psychology, English, Maths, Science or similar fields are desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
* Previous experience working with children (in schools, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring) is an advantage
* A flexible and proactive attitude to working in school settings
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
